24 degree cone Metric hose fittings is designed by ISO 12151-2 and SAE J516 section 19. Two standards is technically equivalent to the hose fittings.
ISO 12151-2 Types of 24 degree cone hydraulic hose fittings including as follows:
Female straight swivel hose fitting (SWS)
Female 45° ° elbow swivel hose fitting (SWE45)
Female 90° elbow swivel hose fitting (SWE)
Male straight hose fitting (S)
ISO 12151-2 specifies the general and dimensional requirements for the design and performance of hose fittings with 24° cone connector ends with O-rings, in accordance with ISO 8434-1 and ISO 8434-4.
ISO hydraulic hose fittings are made of carbon steel and are intended for use with hoses with nominal inside diameters from 5 mm through 38 mm (inclusive).
Metric hose assembly shall be the lower of the pressures given for its size in
ISO 8434-1 or ISO 8434-4 and in the relevant hose specification.
Hose fitting tests shall be conducted in accordance with ISO 8434-5 for the working pressure of the hose assembly. The hose assembly shall undergo a cyclic endurance test and meet or exceed the number of cycles specified in the relevant hose specification.
