SAE J517 100R18 covers thermoplastic hose for use with petroleum base and synthetic hydraulic fluids within a temperature range of –40 to +93°C, and with water base hydraulic fluids within the temperature ranges agreed upon by the manufacturers of both the hose and the fluid. Operating temperatures in excess of +93°C with petroleum base hydraulic fluids may materially reduce the life of the hose. Maximum working pressure and minimum bend radius are specified in Table 31.
