Swaged Hose Fitting
The fitting and ferrule are swaged together onto the hose outer layer using a specialized swaging machine. It is suitable for single or multiple steel wire braided hoses, providing quick, secure installation and high pressure resistance. It is not reusable and does not require stripping the hose cover. Commonly used in general high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Standard | Hose Model Examples | Description |
---|---|---|
EN | EN 853 1SN, EN 853 2SN | Single wire braid (1SN), double wire braid (2SN) hoses |
EN 856 4SP, EN 856 4SH | Multiple wire braid high-pressure hoses | |
SAE | SAE 100R1AT, SAE 100R2AT | Single wire braid (1AT), double wire braid (2AT) hoses |
SAE 100R12, SAE 100R13 | Multiple wire braid high-pressure hoses |
Interlock Hose Fitting
Featuring a double ferrule design, installation requires stripping the hose cover to expose the steel wire reinforcement, ensuring the ferrule firmly locks onto the wire layers. This provides stronger pull-off resistance and impact strength under ultra-high pressure. Designed specifically for multi-layer steel wire ultra-high-pressure hoses, it is not reusable and suitable for extremely demanding conditions.
Standard | Hose Model Examples | Description |
---|---|---|
EN | EN 856 4SP, EN 856 4SH | Multi-layer wire braid ultra-high pressure hoses |
SAE | SAE 100R12, SAE 100R13 | Multi-layer wire braid ultra-high pressure hoses |
SAE 100R16 | Multi-layer wire braid extremely high-pressure hose |
The main differences are:
Swaged fittings do not require stripping; they compress the hose outer layer and ferrule, offering a wider application range and simpler operation.
Interlock fittings require stripping to expose the steel wire, with the ferrule directly locking the wire layers, ensuring extremely strong mechanical grip and pull-off resistance in ultra-high-pressure environments.
