Types of brazed tube Fitting joints
Braze tube joints shall be designed in such a manner that the brazing point (contact area) is generally only under shear load. Normal tensile stress in the brazed joint (contact area) should be avoided.
Table 5 lists the most frequently used types of brazed tube joints grouped according to execution (1 to 7) and quality grade (A to D). The type designations of the tube joints result from the combination of the quality grade with the execution, e.g. A3, B3, B6, etc.
