DIN 912 standard specifies product grade A hexagon socket head cap screws with metric screw threads and thread diameters from H419J~QmmM\.If, in exceptional cases, the screws are to meet requirements other than those given in this standard, these shall be selected in accordance with the appropriate standards.
DIN 6912 standard specifies dimensions and technical delivery conditions for sizes M4 to M36 hexagon socket head cap screws with pilot recess, of product grade A as in DIN EN ISO 4759-1 and made of steel and stainless steel.
Where screws are to comply with specifications other than those given in this standard, these shall be selected in accordance with the relevant standards, e.g. DIN ISO 261, DIN EN ISO 898-1, DIN ISO 965-2, DIN EN ISO 3506-1 und DIN EN ISO 4759-1.
Screws specified in this standard should not be used in the form of screw assemblies with captive washers as they are always required to have a short unthreaded portion of shank to compensate for the pilot recess.
