Influence of the surface shape on the braze joint
In many cases, deviations from the geometrically ideal surface shape, due to grooves and scores for example, influence the quality of the brazed joint. Here the orientation of the grooves and scores plays a major role. Table 2 and Figure 6 provide a survey of the flow/spreading of brazing solders depending on given surface shapes.
