Difference:

 

British standard pipe parallel 

BSPP is denoted by the letter G(Gas. At first, this type of thread was mainly used on gas piping).

Sealing: It is sealed by ED.

Standard: The BSPP or G thread aligns with international standards such as ISO 228-1, DIN 259, and BS2779.

British standard pipe taper( with a 1:16 taper)

BSPT is denoted by the letter R. The "R" is believed to come from the German word "Rohr," which means "pipe" in English.

Sealing: The sealing way is metal-to-metal contact with sealant to fill the gaps.

Standard: BSPT is covered by several standards, including:
ISO 7-1 (international standard)
BS EN 10226-1 (British/European standard)

 

PF and PT used in Japen and Kroen.

PF(Pipe Fastening) thread is specified by JIS B0202 in Japan and KS B 0221 in Kroen. The ISO standard is the ISO 228-1.

PF is also denoted by the letter G. PF is the name of BSPP in Japan. When the specifications are the same, the PF thread and G thread have the same size and can be interchanged.

 

PT(Pipe Taper with a 1:16 taper) thread is specified by JIS B0203 in Japan and KS B 0222 in Kroen. The ISO standard is the ISO 7-1.

PF is also denoted by the letter R and Rc. PT is the name of BSPT in Japan. When the specifications are the same, the PT thread and R thread have the same size and can be interchanged.
